Health care is one of India’s largest service sectors both in terms of revenue and employment. India’s primary competitive advantage lies in its largest pool of well trained-skilled medical professionals. There is a significant scope for the health care employees while considering the fact that there is substantial growth in health care industry .
The course shall equip successful trainees with skills required to undertake nursing services and special care for people with serious illnesses. Training shall be provided to undertake basic outpatient, inpatient and home care procedures in nursing and palliative care; to detect and control symptoms related to diseases, improve the patient’s ability to tolerate medical treatments; improve patient’s and his/her family’s understanding of his/her choices for treatment; etc
Job prospects: Nurse – Palliative Care
150 hours of internship at hospitals, nursing homes or diagnostics centers
Continuous assessment is carried out by the TSP and final assessment by an independent assessor, assigned by the SSC. Certificates will be issued by the SSC, to successful trainees.
