Rubber
India is the 4th largest producer and 2nd largest consumer of natural rubber in the world. Kerala accounts for more than 90% of the total rubber production in the country.Total rubber consumption by various industries in 2014-15 was 3.7% more thanin the previous year. To boost the domestic production, the government is in the process of formulating a national rubber policy and an insurance-based scheme for the planters. In the wake of these developments, demand for trained human resources in the sector especially in the production and processing of rubber is steadily increasing.
The course shall equip successful trainees with the knowledge and skills required to undertake production processes in a rubber processing and production factory. Trainees shall learn to assist operators/supervisors in material handling, production processes, equipment handling and post-production processes as per company norms and ensure that set standards are achieved within the work area
Job prospects: Junior Rubber Technician
150 hours of internship in companies engaged in rubber production and usage in manufacturing
Continuous assessment is carried out by the Training Service Provider and final assessment by an independent assessor, assigned by the Sector Skill Council. Certificate will be issued by Government of Kerala and the Sector Skill Council, to successful trainees.
