The Indian solar energy sector has been growing rapidly, in the past few years, majorly due to Government’s initiatives such as establishment of government bodies such as Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), India Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) and Solar Energy Centre (SEC) to promote solar energy in India. The Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission launched by MNRE in 2009 has targeted establishment of 2000 MW of off-grid solar applications and 20,000 MW of utility grid applications by 2022.
This course is shall equip the successful trainee with the requisite knowledge and skills to install solar panels at customer premises. On successful completion of the course, the trainee shall be proficient in checking the installation site, estimating the layout requirement as per design, assessing precautionary measures to be undertaken and ensuring effective functioning of the system post installation.

150 hours of internship with companies that manufactures or installs solar panels
Continuous assessment is carried out by the Training Service Provider and final assessment by an independent assessor, assigned by the Sector Skill Council. Certificate will be issued by Government of Kerala and the Sector Skill Council, to successful trainees.
