Auto Engine Repair Technician (QP: ASC/Q1409)
The Indian automobile industry is one of the largest in the world and accounts for 22% of the GDP. The two-wheeler segment has 80% market share and the overall passenger vehicle segment has 14% market share in the automobile industry. Sales of commercial vehicles and cars in India grew at 5.3% and 3.14% respectively, in January 2015 and January 2014. The auto-component industry currently accounts for almost 7% of India’s GDP and employs about 19 million people, both directly and indirectly.
The course shall equip successful trainees with the knowledge and skills required for carrying out repair of vehicle enginesand aggregates, assembly of engine and overhauling. Additionally, trainees shall also be trained planning and organizing work to meet expected outcomes, working effectively in a team and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.

150 hours of internship with auto repair workshops and service centers.
Assessment and Certification:
Continuous assessment is carried out by the Training Service Provider and final assessment by an independent assessor, assigned by the Sector Skill Council. Certificate will be issued by Government of Kerala and the Sector Skill Council, to successful trainees.
Male students enrolled in Plus One in any stream;/ Male students enrolled in 1st year of Bachelor’s Degree course in any stream;
Students who have successfully completed ‘Aptitude Test’ and ‘Personal Interview’
