Industry Highlights:

Government on India has set an ambitious target of increasing the contribution of manufacturing output from the present 16% of GDP to 25% of GDP by 2025 and plans to locally manufacture as many as 181 products. This move shall boost several infrastructure sectors including the automobile manufacturing sector and shall lead to a surge in demand for skilled workers in soldering, brazing, welding, moulding, etc.

Course Highlights:

The course shall equip successful trainees with the knowledge and skills required for soldering and brazing which is one of the metal joining processes. Soldering and brazing are two different methods which are used to join various metals based on their properties . The major course components are assessment of work requirements, setting up the apparatus for soldering and brazing, conducting the brazing and soldering process to join the work pieces, ensuring completion of post operations activities of inspection, storage and maintenance, maintaining a safe & healthy environment at the work place and adopting 5S methods at the work premises.

Internship:
150 hours of internship with leading automotive manufacturing companies

Assessment and Certification:

Continuous assessment is carried out by the Training Service Provider and final assessment by an independent assessor, assigned by the Sector Skill Council. Certificate will be issued by Government of Kerala and the Sector Skill Council, to successful trainees.

Eligibility:

·         Male students enrolled in Plus One in any stream;/ Male students enrolled in 1st year of Bachelor’s Degree course in any stream;

Students who have successfully completed ‘Aptitude Test’ and ‘Personal Interview’.
