Dietician Assistants also called dietetic technicians or dietary aides, work in the food and nutrition industry under the supervision of dieticians. More and more dieticians are entering the food industry workforce, including retail settings such as supermarkets, food companies of all sizes, food commodity boards, food organizations, and public relations companies.
Students will be equipped to create menus, select foods and prepare meals for individuals or in institutional settings. They also teach individuals how to make nutritious food choices.
Primary duties of dietician assistants include nutritional evaluation, menu planning and teaching people how to make healthy food choices. Dietician assistants work in a variety of industries, such as healthcare, education and foodservice. Those who are compassionate, have good organizational skills may enjoy a career as a dietician assistant.

Assessment and Certification:
Continuous assessment is carried out by the Training Service Provider and final assessment by an independent assessor, assigned by the Sector Skill Council. Certificate will be issued by Government of Kerala and the Sector Skill Council, to successful trainees.
