Course Highlights:

The course is intended to equip the successful trainee with the requisite skills to develop their writing and communication skills with the masses through print media like newspapers, magazines etc. On successful completion of this course, the trainees shall have understanding of reporting and writing for print, subbing stories perfectly, writing suitable headlines and leads, prepare layout of newspapers and magazines, editing photos, tools of journalism, ethical and legal issues in journalism, critical thinking in journalism, media laws and ethics, amongst others.[1]

Internship:
150 hours of internship in print media industry like newspapers, magazines etc.

Assessment and Certification:

Continuous assessment as well as final assessment will be carried out by Kerala Media Academy. Certificate will be issued by Government of Kerala and Kerala Media Academy, to successful trainees.

Eligibility:

·         Students enrolled in 1st year of Bachelor’s Degree course in any stream

·         Students who have successfully completed ‘Aptitude Test’ and ‘Personal Interview
