Field Technician (Computing and Peripherals) (QP:ELE/Q4601)
India’s IT hardware market stood at Rs. 488 Crores in 2013-14 up by 37% from the year before. PC sales in 2013-14 was around 1.1 Crore units and more than double digit growth is expected in tablet PCs and Notebooks in the next few years. The computer peripherals can be classified as input devices (keyboards, digitizers, mouse etc.), output devices (printers, plotters, monitors etc.) and input/output devices (terminals, auxiliary memory devices etc.). The computer peripherals market in India is witnessing a dynamic growth and is exhibiting prominent signs of further development in the years to come. The computer peripherals market was valued at Rs. 1,500 crore during 2009 and is expected to attain grow at20% each year to reach approximately Rs. 6,400 Crore by 2017.
This course shall equip the successful trainees with requisite skills and knowledge to attend to customer complaints, install newly purchased computers and peripherals, troubleshoot system problems, replace faulty modules and configure peripherals such as printers, scanners and network devices

150 hours of internship with leading electronic companies or other IT departments of local, national and international corporations
Assessment and Certification:
Continuous assessment is carried out by the Training Service Provider and final assessment by an independent assessor, assigned by the Sector Skill Council. Certificate will be issued by Government of Kerala and the Sector Skill Council, to successful trainees.
· Students enrolled in 1st year of Bachelor’s Degree course in any stream;
Students who have successfully completed ‘Aptitude Test’ and ‘Personal Interview’.
