Green House Fitter
The agriculture sector in India is expected to generate better momentum in the next few years due to increased investments in agricultural infrastructure such as irrigation facilities, warehousing and cold storage. The liberalized economy has given an impetus to Indian farmers and entrepreneurs for establishing export-oriented cultivation units in green houses and closed spaces. To encourage cultivation in green houses, the National Horticulture Board and National Horticulture Mission provide subsidies for green house farming and green house technologies.
The course shall equip successful trainees with the knowledge and skills required for designing a greenhouse, installing greenhouse structures after consideration of the structural layout and bill of materials prepared by supplier and maintaining the smooth functioning of the green house
Desirable Personal Traits:
· Good stamina and physical fitness
· Knowledge of basic arithmetic and algebra principles
· Ability to work independently

150 hours of internship in farms and green houses
Assessment and Certification:
Continuous assessment is carried out by the Training Service Provider and final assessment by an independent assessor, assigned by the Sector Skill Council. Certificate will be issued by Government of Kerala and the Sector Skill Council, to successful trainees.
· Students enrolled in Plus One in any stream;/Students enrolled in 1st year of Bachelor’s Degree course in any stream;
Students who have successfully completed ‘Aptitude Test’ and ‘Personal Interview’
