Hand Embroider (QP: AMH/Q1001)
India accounts for approximately 14% of the world’s production of textile. The domestic textile and apparel industry in India is estimated to reach Rs 9.59 lakh crores by 2021 from Rs 4.55 lakh crores in 2014 . The country’s textile is the second largest employer after agriculture, providing employment to over 4.5 crore people directly and 6 crore people indirectly. In the light of the growing apparel industry, there are huge opportunities for skills like sewing, embroidery etc.
The course will equip the successful trainees with the requisite knowledge and skills to create decorative designs on fabric and other materials using embroidery work. On successful completion of the course, the trainee will be skilled in using a variety of sewing techniques and different types of embroidery stitches and effects such as cross stitch, french knot stitch, bullion knot stitch, shade work, applique work, english smocking etc.

150 hours of Internship with leading apparel companies
Assessment and Certification:
Continuous assessment is carried out by the Training Service Provider and final assessment by an independent assessor, assigned by the Sector Skill Council. Certificate will be issued by Government of Kerala and the Sector Skill Council, to successful trainees.
· Students enrolled in Plus One in any stream;/Students enrolled in 1st year of Bachelor’s Degree course in any stream;
· Students who have successfully completed ‘Aptitude Test’ and ‘Personal Interview’
