ASAP Wayanad geared up Haritha Keralam Mission with its state wide launch on 8th December 2016. Various programs were conducted by ASAP students district wide to bring awareness on the importance of protecting nature, having a clean and rejuvenate water bodies, promoting reusing and recycling of materials, and enhancing the use of biodegradable materials. The following activities had been carried out in association with Haritha Keralam Day observation:

  1. Placard designing competition on the topic “Go Green “by ASAP club, Sarvajana GHSS Sulthan Bathery, which promoted the views on bringing back greenery and conserving trees and forest for a healthy living.
  2. Conducted special assembly meet on the topic “Teen go green” followed by “Campus cleaning” by ASAPians of GHSS Kartikulam.
  3. Quiz competition on the topic “nature and wild life” was conducted by ASAPians of GMHSS Vellamunda for the junior batch at the school.
  4. ASAPians of GVHSS Mananthavady, made paper bags and distributed to the local shopkeepers, and thus created an awareness on the importance of using biodegradable materials.
  5. Poster competition followed by poster exhibition by RGMRHSS Noolpuzha, on the topic “Back to green”
  6. Poster and placard making by Jayasree HSS, on the topic “Green Kerala Clean Kerala”.
  7. ASAP students joined hands with NSS of GHSS Thalapuzha, built a Check dam across the tributary of Kabani River.
