ASAP CSP organizes “Industry Connects For Skills” workshop

The Community Skill Park Division of ASAP‘ organized “Industry Connects For Skills’, at Apollo Dimora, Thiruvananthapuram. IC4 Skills is a platform which encouraged  the operating partners of CSP to connect with various industries across the country and thus giving them access to a plethora of industry relevant skill training opportunities, which can be offered through our CSP. A Memorandum of Agreement was signed between ASAP and the operating partners of CSP.                Shri K. T. Jaleel, Honourable Minister for Higher Education officially  inaugurated the event and launched the website of Community Skill Park (CSP). The minister stressed on the importance and need of Community Skill Parks in the state and how the skill parks will change the face of our technical education by offering skills courses outside the technical institutions like engineering and polytechnic colleges. Community Skill Parks will be established in all the fourteen districts of the state.Nine Community Skill Parks are becoming operational in the first phase of the project and another 6  CSPs  will be coming up in the second phase.Ms. Usha Titus, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Ms. Reetha S Prabha, CEO ASAP, P Anil Prasad, Director CSP attended the function. Besides the 9 operating partners, representatives from various industries attended the event.
