An advocacy workshop on NSDA was conducted for the ASAP Programme Managers on 17th of September 2018 at Hotel Apollo Dimora, Trivandrum. The objective was to get the gathered, up to date on the happenings of skill ecosystem in India. A team from National Skill Development Agency (NSDA), Ms. Nidhi Gautam-Principal Consultant ,NSDA and Ms. Thanvi Singh- Consultant, NSDA and Mr.Madhu P Nair, Director- ATI Calicut, Mr. M. Shahjahan ,Joint Director of Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training were the dignitaries invited.
The Welcome speech was delivered by Smt. Susheela James, Head- Business Development and Stakeholder Relations, ASAP. She briefed on the role played by ASAP in delivering quality skill training to the youth of Kerala. Shri. K P Jaikiran, Head- Curriculum Development of ASAP brought the gathered up to date on the Q filing status in ASAP. Ms. Nidhi Gautam did a presentation on the skilling initiatives of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the NSDA. She also briefed on NSQF and LMIS. Shri. Madhu P Nair informed the audience about the role of DGT in providing quality skill training to people of India and its success so far. Shri. M Shahjahan presented before the audience the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme by the MSDE. Ms.Thanvi Singh, gave a rundown of the key concepts associated with Qualification File and NSQF. This was succeeded by a lively open discussion. The Heads of various divisions of ASAP also attended the event. The closing comments were delivered by Shri. K P Jaikiran.
