To uplift and empower the students of the state of Kerala, through the provision of sustainable and relevant training, internships and placement systems and to craft an Industry Advisory Committee, Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with BFSI Sector Skill Council of India, on 18th May, 2015, at Mascot Hotel, Trivandrum. Under this MoU ASAP will work together with BFSI Sector Skill Council, in several areas of skill development and training, to bring forth potential benefits to the student community.The main agenda behind this MoU was to weave excellence in the educational scenario by bringing in more skill courses, through competent Training Service Providers, in Banking, Financial services and Insurance sector.
Kerala is a global investment destination and job opportunities in finance sector are high in Kerala, said Dr. K.M Abraham, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Social Justice and Higher Education Departments. He also lauded the Programme Managers of ASAP , for the effort they put in for effective functioning of the project. Shri. Ambarish Datta, Managing Director and CEO, BSE Institute Limited, stated that Kerala is the first state to have a MoU with BFSI Sector Skill Council for skill training and BFSI SSC is looking forward for more collaborative activities in future to drive the skill development initiatives in our country to even greater heights.
