ASAP and Training Service Providers (TSPs) have signed an agreement to build up and strengthen skill training in various sectors ,in the presence of Hon’ble Minister for Education ,Shri. P.K. Abdu Rabb at Harmony Hall, Mascot Hotel, Trivandrum on 15 October, 2014. ASAP has signed the agreement for 69 courses with 19 TSPs across the country and the main agenda behind this skill agreement is to weave excellence in the educational scenario by bringing in more skill courses in IT/ITES , Plumbing , Automobile , Banking & Finance ,Hospitality ,Retail , Telecom , Logistics , Media and Entertainment , Electronics Sector, Gem & Jewellery and Construction sector, thereby skilling the young populace of the country.
The industry-driven programme offered by Training Service Providers is aimed at bringing youth into skill sectors and equipping them with adequate skills to become knowledgeable and competent. This association is expected to bring in new courses, providing a fresh lease to the education scenario of Kerala and mitigate the current shortcomings of skilled manpower training.The Training Service Providers would undertake the following activities: curriculum formation and development of quality framework, training delivery, course campaigning, internship, certification and industry linkage.
A short video of ASAP was played during the event in order to give the audience an insight into ASAP and the impact it is going to make in the educational arena of Kerala. Shri. Reju M.T., CEO, ASAP delivered the welcome address. Hon’ble Minister for Education, Shri. P.K. Abdu Rabb detailed about the benchmarks ASAP is going to set in the forthcoming years in his presidential address. Shri. Nanadakumar IAS, Director of Collegiate Education enlightened the audience about the noble initiative of ASAP and its functions. Shri.George Thomas K., Additional Secretary and Team leader proposed Vote of Thanks.
