International Skill Summit titled SEEK ‘15 (Skill Enterprise Engagement for Empowering Kerala) aimed at developing a road map for skill development, extracting finest ideas and approaches from industry experts was organized at the Hotel Taj Vivanta, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, from 16th to 17th December 2015. ASAP organized first SEEK in 2013 for identifying competent Training Service Providers and networking with Industry. SEEK 2015 provided a platform of interaction for Industry leaders, Academics, Management Professionals,
Training Service Providers and Assessment Agencies for generating ideas to assist the ASAP mission in charting untraveled paths and setting new benchmarks in the skill development landscape of the country. The Hon’ble Minister for Education, Shri P K Abdu Rabb inaugurated the event in the presence of Shri. B Srinivas IAS, Secretary Higher Education, Dr Reju M. T IAS, CEO, ASAP, Shri K M Chandrasekhar, Vice Chairman, Planning Board, Shri V S Senthil IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, General Education and Shri George Thomas K , Additional Secretary and Team Leader, ASAP. The summit also witnessed signing of Memoranda of Understanding with industries by Government of Kerala and the first annual Meeting of Business Advisory Councils.
SEEK ’15 included brainstorming sessions by expert panels on subthemes with an integrated and consolidated presentation of main themes at the plenary. An open discussion and query sessions at the plenary ensured that extract of a particular theme has been conveyed to the stake holders.

SEEK’13 was conducted at Co-Bank Towers and Mascot Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram on 5th and 6th of November, 2013. The objective of the workshop was to develop synergy between key players in the area of skill training. The finer objectives of the programme included programme/course identification and curriculum development, networking, forging relationships and knowledge sharing. The inaugural session commenced with the welcome speech by Dr. K.M. Abraham CFA IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (Higher Education) Government of Kerala. Hon. Chief Minister, Shri. Oommen Chandy, Shri. P.K Abdu Rabb, Honorable Minister for Education, Shri. G. Vijayaraghavan, Member, State Planning Board and Shri. Kesavendra Kumar IAS, Director, Higher Secondary Education graced the occasion. Shri. S. Ramadorai, Chairman, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) was unable to attend the function and his address was read out. The valedictory sessions saw the signing of MoU by the Government of Kerala with Agriculture Skill Council of India, Gem and Jewellery Sector Skill Council and Institute of Palliative Medicine. SEEK’13 showcased the potential offered by ASAP in skill training, brought skill providers of the country to a single platform and explored new training possibilities in the highly promising job sectors. There were three important sessions such as From the Dias of Inauguration ASAP Annual Report 2013 – 14 20 Technical Sessions, Knowledge sharing sessions and Business sessions. Technical Sessions focused on identification of skill gaps and HR challenges faced by industries. During the Knowledge sharing sessions, the focus was on sharing of information on novel schemes, best practices and technological innovations in the skill development domain.
