The first convocation ceremony of ASAP was convened at Tagore Theatre, Vazhuthacaud on 17th November 2015 and students from various parts of the State who completed Skill Courses received certificates. Honorable Minister for Education Shri. P K Abdu Rabb inaugurated the event in which Shri. Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan was the chief guest. In his welcome address, Dr. K. M. Abraham CFA IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education pointed out that ASAP has become a pioneer in skill development a short span of time, and now it’s a model worth emulating for all the states of India. Dr. Reju M T IAS, CEO ASAP presented a report of activities of ASAP which touched upon all aspects of development including training, curriculum development, stakeholder engagement and innovative initiatives. Shri. G. Vijayaragavan, Member, State Planning Board and Shri. N Nandakumar IAS, Director Collegiate Education extended felicitation highlighting the impact of ASAP in the skill training landscape of the country.
170 students allover the state were awarded Skill and APTIS certificates by the Chief Guest. The event also witnessed distribution of awards to the best performers of APTIS test by Shri. Michael King, Director, British Council. The Hon. Minister for Education, Kerala conducted tasseling ceremony of the graduates. Shri. George Thomas, Additional Secretary and Team Leader, ASAP proposed the vote of thanks.
