Course Overview
The course is designed to give a broad theoretical and practical foundation within wastewater treatment. An overview of typical wastewater characteristics, how this may affect relevant treatment processes, will be given, in addition to treatment and effluent requirements. The course will cover the theoretical foundation, and practical configurations of relevant wastewater treatment processes, including physical-, chemical- and biological processes. It will also focus on how to combine different treatment processes to meet present and future effluent requirements.
By end of the course, the candidate will be able to operate wastewater treatment plant and other related equipment. The candidate would be able to perform the operation and cleaning of different screen valves in a wastewater treatment plant and charge the slurry tank. In addition, he/she will be well equipped with the skills to add desired quantity of chemicals and microbes to treat water. Technicians will facilitate calibration of process control equipment in the treatment plant
