NOTIFICATION FOR THE POST OF EXECUTIVE(CSP)

Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) Kerala, A Government of Kerala Company, Invites Online application for the position of executives to 16 Community Skill Parks (CSPs) across the state . Interested candidates may apply via ONLINE mode only by filling the prescribed application form given in the website of ASAP (www.asapkerala.gov.in/careers/). The link for online application will be active from 13.06.2024

The last date for submitting the online application will be 26.06.2024, 5 PM.

The selection involves two stages. The eligible applicants will be invited for a written test (descriptive) at CSP Kalamassery, Ernakulam. The qualified candidates will be called for an interview for final selection.

Applicants if selected, will be posted in any of the below vacancies according to their suitability. The selected applicants will be required to execute an agreement with ASAP.

Job role of Executive

Administrative responsibilities: Act as the in-charge of the CSP, ensuring financial self- sustainability. Supervise the activities of interns/apprentices to achieve CSP targets. Attend meetings and events in the districts as an ASAP representative. Ensure maintenance of CSP infrastructure, keep the database and various registers up to date, and provide timely updates to the MIS. Prepare monthly reports including revenue-expenditure-income statements, occupancy and footfall, and activity reports. Discharge financial responsibilities in strict adherence to ASAP guidelines. Attend monthly review meetings held at Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, or other designated locations as decided.

Skill Training activities: The primary activities in the CSPs involve skill training, and the Executive is responsible for promoting and creating awareness of ASAP Kerala and CSP operations within the CSP influence zone and the district. This includes carrying out marketing and promotional activities to facilitate the formation of batches for various skill courses, organizing and managing both training and non-training activities in the CSP, supporting the activities of industry partners, and collecting feedback from CSP participants to address any issues of concern.

Workshops / Events: CSPs are aiming to become the Youth Hangout Place which demands conducting workshops and events other than Skill Training. The activities of interest to the Youth include placement drives, foreign language proficiency/ public speaking practices, youth competitions, career guidance seminars, activity camps etc. In addition to these activities, community engagement activities are also planned to improve the occupancy and footfall in the CSP and thereby promote the CSP activities to larger audiences. The job role of the executives includes conceptualizing, mobilizing and managing all these activities in the CSPs.

Location and type of postings

The CSPs are located  at  Kasargod,  Palayad  (Thalassery),  Mananthavady, Thavanoor, Pandikkad (Malappuram), Chathnanur, Lakkidi (Palakkad), Kunnamkulam, Perumbavoor, Kalamassery, Cheriya  Kalavoor  (Alappuzha), Pampady (Kottayam), Kunnamthanam (Thiruvalla), Kulakkada (Kollam), Kazhakkootam, Vizhinjam.

The selection will be made to work in any of these above CSP locations. The candidates applying should be willing to work in any of these locations and travel across the state and within the districts to promote the Skill Courses and the activities carried out in the CSPs.

The CSP activities are planned on all 07 days in a week. Compensatory off for working on Holidays will be eligible. The CSP operations are envisaged from 08 am to 08 pm with provision of shift operation.

Brief about CSPs: CSP SBU vertical represents the youth engagement business unit of ASAP Kerala. Each CSP has 25000-30000 sq ft of building infrastructure with 05 classrooms and 04 lab spaces to emerge as the key institution in the districts for employability enhancement and career advancement activities. The activities of the CSP SBU are focused on the population in the age group of 13 to 40 years of age. The CSP Division as a SBU is aiming to create a Youth Hangout through community engagement programmes and activities. The annual target is to achieve 1 lakh membership for all CSPs together.

It shall be noted that admittance to various stage of the recruitment will be provisional only, and will not confer any claim unless various other conditions of selection processes are satisfied. Detailed scrutiny of the application/credentials will be conducted before the written test / interview appointment. Any discrepancy found during the detailed scrutiny will result in the rejection of the candidature.

ASAP Kerala reserves the right to shortlist only a limited number of candidates based on marks secured in their qualifying examination (if any), desirable qualifications and experience (if any). Candidates should clearly mention the marks scored in their qualifying examination (graduation / post-graduation) in the application.
