Recruiting for Project Coordinator, Attapady

24 Jun, 2024

ASAP Kerala is launching a project, Project Super 100 in association with District Administration, Palakkad and IIT Palakkad.

The education of ST children is important not just due to the constitutional obligation to ensure equality among citizens or special entitlements for ST, but also because it is a crucial component of the nation’s strategy for the overall development of tribal communities. However, despite the nation’s efforts to ensure constitutional equality, dignity and development that they themselves hope to have, the tribal people continue to face educational challenges, due to external as well as internal constraints, socio-economic and cultural constraints, and psychological problems faced by first generation learners, among many other issues.

Additional Skill Acquisition Programme Kerala (ASAP Kerala), in association with District Administration Palakkad, proposes to implement a project called as “Super 100” aimed at providing exposure and educational opportunities to 100 selected tribal girls from Attappady Block in Palakkad District. Attappady, a tribal-dominated region, faces educational disparities and limited career prospects. This initiative strives to establish a platform that empowers students to investigate a wide array of career opportunities, nurturing the cultivation of aspirations essential for their future achievements. The programme will be coordinated in association with the district administration, ASAP Kerala and IIT Palakkad.

As part of the project implementation plan a Project Coordinator has to be recruited for coordinating the activities of Project Super 100 from Palakkad District. The project will have a dedicated team stationed at Palakkad and a coordination team stationed at ASAP Headquarters for implementing the proposed project.
