Overview

ASAP Community Skill Park Kasaragod is a state-of-the-art skill development centre located in Kasaragod, Kerala, India. The skill park is operated by Link, a social enterprise that focuses on providing skill development and entrepreneurship opportunities to young people.

The skill park is designed to provide a range of vocational training programs to students and young people, including courses in areas like automotive technology, computer hardware, hospitality, and retail management. The aim of the skill park is to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workforce and become financially independent.

The ASAP Community Skill Park Kasaragod is equipped with modern facilities and equipment, and employs experienced trainers and instructors to deliver high-quality training programs. In addition to vocational training, the skill park also offers career counselling and placement assistance to help students find employment after completing their courses.

Linnk Outsource Solutions India Pvt. Ltd

Linnk is a social enterprise based in Kerala, India, that focuses on providing skill development and entrepreneurship opportunities to young people. The organisation was founded in 2013 with the aim of addressing the issue of youth unemployment in India by providing practical, hands-on training programs that are aligned with the needs of the job market.

Linnk conducts vocational training to the young people in the areas such as automotive technology, computer hardware, hospitality, and retail management. These programs are designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workforce and become financially independent.

In addition to vocational training, Linnk also offers career counselling and placement assistance to help students find employment after completing their courses. The organisation also runs a number of entrepreneurship development programs, which aim to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among young people in India.

Dharppanam

In a first in the state, ASAP Kerala is partnering with the Kasaragod District Panchayat to curate exclusive skilling programmes for women who were unable to pursue higher education after plus-two. The initiative – Dharppanam – was launched by Shri MV Govindan Master, Hon'ble Minister for Local Self Governments and Excise, at ASAP Community Skill Park, Vidya Nagar, Kasaragod, on August 16, 2022.

The initiative aims to enable women to earn a livelihood and acquire a certification from Sreenarayanguru Open University and other universities in Kerala, thus enhancing their employability. The skill package includes training in life skills, digital literacy, financial literacy and vocational skills, in consonance with the local demands. Instituted for a batch of 250 women candidates, the initiative will, subsequently, be scaled up to accommodate 500 candidates. The  vocational training programmes being offered include Certificate in Accounting Technician, Artisanal Bakery and Community Mobiliser.

In addition, ASAP has also partnered with various local self governing bodies in the district to offer various training programs. Various programs like GST using tally, basic proficiency course in English are offered in association with the LSGIs
