Overview

Situated 6 kms from the historic town of Thalassery, ASAP Community Skill park is expected to be instrumental in transforming the region into an education hub. The Operating Partner of the CSP, Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) is a premier technical training institute that offers a range of programs designed to equip students with the necessary skills to succeed in the ever-evolving world of technology.

The CSP is equipped with fully-facilitated machine shops and precision labs with requisite power, water and LPG supply points. With a total built-up area of 2916.8 sqm and accessible-to-all facilities, the skill park has a 160 KVA DG set, IT networking facilities, 250 KVA transformer and fire fighting system.

NTTF, the OP has equipped the CSP to be  state-of-the-art campus with latest technology and equipment, and the experienced faculty of NTTF are dedicated to providing hands-on training and personalized attention to each student.

All the programs are designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the principles and practices of their chosen field, as well as practical experience with the latest technology and equipment.

Placement:

Placement:

At CSP Palayad placement support is offered to all the successful students with the support of the Operating Partner- NTTF. Campus placements are conducted at the CSP with companies recruiting the  students from different fields of engineering with attractive salary offers. In addition to the regular training the students are given special training for corporate interviews, induce confidence, and make them industry-ready.

ASAP Kerala conducts the following courses and workshops at CSP Palayad such as Artisanal Bakery, Communicative English Trainer course and Fitness Trainer course.

The non-skilling initiatives held at the CSPs include workshops and various events that cater to the needs of the community, such as Fabric Painting Workshops,  Instrumental Music Class, Robotics, 3D Printing & IoT workshops, free Medical Camps, Onam Celebrations and Music Club Meet-up.

Courses offered:

Communicative English Trainer

The Communicative English Trainer course helps young learners to spread across diverse professional environments to develop their language skills by leveraging their training and domain knowledge in English. The class usually consists of students spanning diverse age groups and backgrounds. A new batch is currently being conducted on weekends, with a total of 28 students.

 Digital Marketing

The DIC-funded Digital Marketing course is currently being conducted online on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 7 pm to 9 pm. A total of 30 students from different parts of Kannur were selected through interviews and are attending the training.

Artisanal Bakery

The DIC-funded Artisanal Bakery course not only prepares aspiring bakers to bake and become skilled confectioners, but also to decorate and make baked goods look delectable. The courses help learners to design and make Cakes, Fondant Cakes, Cookies, Breads, Macaroons, Tarts, and Shortcrust Pastries. Certificates for 20 skilled bakers were distributed by the CSP in Palayad recently for successfully completing this 150 hour course.   

PMKVY 4.0

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The objective of this Skill Certification scheme is to enable Indian youth to take up industry relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. ASAP Kerala’s CSP in Palayad contributes to the scheme by conducting 3 courses at the centre now.

Yoga Instructor- This 300 hour course covers asanas (postures), meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises) yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology. The certification for the same is provided by NSDC.

Front office Assistant/Front office Trainee - Front Office Assistants course helps candidates attain experience in office administration and the ability to communicate with members of the public. Top-class candidates become capable administrators who make visitors arriving at the reception feel welcome. ASAP Kerala provides 210/240-hour courses of Front Office Assistant/Front Office Trainee under PMKVY Scheme.

WRP 

ASAP Kerala’s Work Readiness Programme covers the attitudes, behaviours, soft skills and professional skills a learner needs to know before entering their new job. This course aims to  improve performance in the workplace by preparing the candidates for challenges that they could face on the job. 

Fitness Trainer

This course equips learners to assist trainees of all ages to get healthier and achieve their desired fitness levels through focused exercises and activities. The course is currently being conducted by the training partner outside the CSP Premises at a gym. 

Workshops 

One day workshop on 3D Printing, Robotic and IoT

ASAP Kerala, in association with the Operating Partner NTTF, conducts various workshops on IOT, Robotics, 3D printing and CNC machines, among many other domains. This particular workshop has provided valuable opportunities for students to enhance their skills and learn from the NTTF’s team of experts. ASAP Kerala takes great pride in the part we have played in guiding the upcoming generations with the skills they need to succeed in a competitive job market.

 One Day Fabric Painting Workshop

Fevicryl, in association with the CSP in Palayad, has conducted a one-day workshop on getting acquainted with the techniques to create Madhubani, Warly & Kalamkari paintings. This captivating fabric painting workshop was conducted by skilled trainers and people of all ages were welcome to participate. 

Instrumental Music Class

Instrumental Music class on violin, guitar, and keyboard were given to students in association with VIRTUOSO music, Palayad, on all Sundays for all age groups.

Music Club Meetup

The monthly meetup of the Music club at CSP Palayad is scheduled on every 1st Sunday of the month. All music lovers are welcome to join the event and club.

Community Engagement Programmes

The CSP is available to conduct various community engagement activities like placement drives, camps, meet-ups, and celebrations. A few of the programmes conducted are as follows:

Unarv 2023

The inauguration and ASAP Kerala’s courses at the CSP and the convocation ceremony of the Communicative English Trainer batch of 2022 was conducted as an event titled Unarv, which was inaugurated by the District Panchayath President Smt. P.P. Divya.

Datsi Caravan Storytelling

Zebu Animation and Datsi School of Storytellers successfully organised a one-day storytelling workshop at the CSP in Palayad. The fourth edition of Datsi Caravan was a series of creative workshops, bringing quality art education to the community. The interactive session was fun and inspiring, making it an unforgettable experience for all participants. Key speakers at the event were Michael Joseph, a filmmaker and academician, and Suresh C., Head of Animation Training at Datsi School.

Placement Drive

A placement drive was conducted at ASAP Kerala’s CSP in Palayad in association with Linnk Academy India, Kasaragod. Around 200 unemployed-educated technical graduates participated the drive and 5 students received job offers from GlowTouch Technologies, Mangalore. 

Yoga Day

ASAP Kerala’s CSP in Palayad conducted a yoga session as a part of International Day of  Yoga on June 21st, 2023, to spread awareness about the benefits of yoga. The session was handled by Mr.Haridasan, as well as an experienced trainer with over 25 years of experience in the yoga field.

Swatchatha Hi Seva

CSP Palayad, in association with NTTF, conducted “Swachatha Hi Seva” on Gandhi Jayanti. As a part of the initiative, the students cleaned the premises and surroundings of the CSP & GHSS Palayad. 

Dental Camp

A free dental medical camp was organised at the CSP in Palayad by NTTF in association with Rotary Club and Mahe Dental College. 

Meri Maati Mera Desh

“Meri Maati Mera Desh envisions a unified celebration of India's soil and valour, commemorating the nation's journey for freedom and progress. By connecting with the land and honouring our heroes, this programme instilled a sense of national pride and aimed at inspiring future generations to protect India's cherished heritage. This event was conducted at the CSP in Palayad in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kannur.

Blood Donation camp 

On the occasion of World Blood Donation Day, NTTF, Rotaract Club and Thalassery

General Hospital organised a blood donation camp at ASAP Kerala’s Community Skill Park in Palayad. The blood donation camp was organised with social commitment in mind, emphasising our dedication to community welfare.

Free Medical Camp

A free medical camp was organised on 24-06-23 at the CSP in Palayad in association with BMH Kannur. The camp was inaugurated by Shri. N. K. Ravi, President of Dharmadam GP, with the presence and well wishes of Smt. Pushpa, standing committee Chairperson of Health, and Smt. Preetha, Ward Member, Dharmadam GP. Shri Ayyappan, Principal of NTTF Thalassery, also extended his best wishes for the programme.

The camp witnessed the participation of individuals from the local community and surrounding area. Three departments from BMH, namely Gynaecology, Orthopaedics and General Medicine, actively participated in the camp. Moreover, basic medical check-ups, including sugar and blood pressure measurement, were conducted.

Emergency department of BMH held a basic life support class in the afternoon.

Onam Celebrations

The CSP is also available for celebrating festivities such as Onam. This year, we conducted 3 days of Onam celebrations— the first two were in-house, with the students of ASAP Kerala and NTTF celebrating their Onam.

The event featured a delicious lunch, Thiruvathira Kali, Vibrant Pookalam, Musical Chair, Lemon spoon Race, Tug of War, Pillow Fight, Chenda Melam, Crackers and more. 

The second day of Onam celebration at ASAP Kerala’s CSP Palayad was a real blast, with a total of 119 participants. The students from the Yoga Instructors course and from the nearby coaching centre ‘Grade up Academy’ in Chirakkuni joined the fun at CSP Palayad and had an absolute ball, enjoying a whole bunch of exciting activities that captured the spirit of Onam.

On the joyous occasion of the third day, which took place on August 27,2023, the wonderful children from Thanal, a school of children with special needs and disabilities, graced us with their presence. A total of 363 unique participants attended this event.
