Overview
ASAP Community Skill Park Perumbavoor is a skill development centre located in Perumbavoor, Kerala, India. The centre is operated by Mar Gregorio's Educational Society. ASAP Community Skill Park Perumbavoor is an initiative, which provides training and skill development programs for the youth to improve their employability and entrepreneurship skills.
The CSP is equipped with fully-facilitated machine shops and precision labs with requisite power, water and LPG supply points. With a total built-up area of 2442.69 sqm and accessible-to-all facilities, the skill park has a 125 KVA DG set, IT networking facilities, 20 KLD sewage treatment plant, 200 KVA transformer and fire fighting system.
Mar Gregorios Educational Society
Mar Gregorio's Educational Society is a non-profit organisation based in Kerala, India, that was established in 1984 with the aim of promoting education and social welfare in the region. The society operates various educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and technical training centres, to provide quality education and training to the youth. The society is named after Saint Gregorios of Parumala, who was a renowned saint and spiritual leader of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. The society's mission is to empower the underprivileged sections of society by providing them with education, training, and other support to enable them to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the development of society.
The state-of-the-art industry labs have been installed at CSP Perumbavoor - the ESSCI Advance LED lab & ESSCI Advanced Solar lab
The ESSCI Advance LED lab
The LED lighting industry is in great need of technical personnel for various roles such as Design, development, Production, Quality, Assembly, Testing, etc. However, young graduates typically lack exposure to organized factories and the specific requirements of these companies. The LED lab in CSP Perumbavoor is equipped with modern instruments to provide knowledge and skill in areas such as hand soldering, power supply with linear voltage regulators, different soldering processes, photometry, and photometry measuring instruments.
In addition, there are various electronic components, indoor and outdoor LED products, segments/components/parts used in LED lighting, LED luminaries, thermal management of LED lights, optical design of LED lights, basics of LED drivers, testing requirements of LED drivers, safety requirements of LED lights, and industry production lanes. The labs are established in partnership with Sahasra Electronics and the modern facilities available in the LED lab will provide a comprehensive learning experience for young graduates, enabling them to meet the demands of the LED lighting industry.
ESSCI Advanced Solar Lab
The ESSCI Advanced Solar Lab our Community Skill Park in Perumbavoor is designed to educate and train aspirants in the installation, operation, and maintenance of solar PV systems in compliance with relevant international standards related to grid-connected and off-grid solar PV systems.
The industry grade lab provides practical exposure to all aspects of solar PV systems, including installation, operation, and maintenance. Students will receive hands-on training in the relevant areas, giving them the necessary skills to succeed in the field.
The ESSCI Advanced Solar Lab will provide students with the best possible training in solar PV systems, and equip them to meet the demands of the industry.
Automotive Lab
The Automotive lab at Community Skill Park in Perumbavoor is equipped with motorcycle and four-wheeler engines, providing aspiring Automotive Service Technicians and Automotive Repair Technicians with hands-on training in disassembling and assembling engines.
Through the lab, internships of varying durations are offered, providing students with practical experience in addition to their classroom learning. The automotive Lab equips each student with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet industry competency standards.
