Overview

ASAP Community Skill Park in Thavanur is a state-of-the-art training facility that offers courses in various technical and vocational fields. The park includes a Center of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to electric vehicles, which provides hands-on training and resources related to electric vehicle technology and a paint academy in association with Akzo Nobel, a leading Dutch multinational company which creates paints and performance coatings for both industry and consumers worldwide.

The Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence

The CoE at ASAP Community Skill Park, Thavanur offers courses on various aspects of electric vehicles, including maintenance, repair, and installation of charging infrastructure. The courses are designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to work with electric vehicles, as well as to support the transition to a more sustainable transportation system.

Skill Park is also equipped with the latest tools and equipment, and features experienced trainers who are experts in the field of electric vehicles. Students who enroll in the courses offered by the CoE can expect to receive a comprehensive education in electric vehicle technology, and will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through hands-on training.

The CoE has been established in association with the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers(ISIE), Hero Motocorp and MG Motors with the financial support of the Scheduled Caste Department of the government of Kerala.

The AkzoNobel Paint Academy

ASAP Community Skill Park in Thavanur also includes the AkzoNobel Paint Academy, which is a training centre that provides education and resources related to vehicle refinishing and paint technology.

The AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinish Paint Academy at ASAP Community Skill Park in Thavanur offers courses designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to work in the vehicle refinishing industry. The courses cover topics such as surface preparation, colour matching, paint application, and finishing techniques.

The training facility at the AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinish Paint Academy is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and equipment, and features experienced trainers who are experts in the field of vehicle refinishing and paint technology. Students who enrol in the courses offered by the academy can expect to receive a comprehensive education in vehicle refinishing and paint technology, and will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through hands-on training.

The paint academy offers the training programs free of cost to the trainees using the CSR funds of AkzoNobel.
