Divemaster’s typically assist instructors with classes and lead certified divers on underwater adventures. If they work at a shop, divemaster’s often fill tanks, load gear, check-in divers and help with other essential tasks.

With additional training from a PADI course director, PADI Divemaster’s can get certified to teach the following PADI specialty courses:
      1.Equipment specialist
      2.Coral reef conservation
      3.AWARE specialist
      4.Emergency oxygen provider
      5.Digital underwater photography
6.Any PADI distinctive specialty courses that don’t require dives

The biggest difference between a divemaster and a scuba instructor is that the former is considered a ‘dive leader’, and as such, can only assist in the teaching of scuba courses under a certified instructor, whereas an instructor is qualified to teach alone.
