Job Description:

The Marketing Communications Manager will lead ASAP Kerala’s marketing communications strategy across all platforms and initiatives. This pivotal role includes developing, implementing, and monitoring marketing strategies that align with the organisation’s goals and enhance its public visibility and engagement. The Marketing Communications Manager at ASAP Kerala will supervise a dynamic team structured to handle various aspects of communication, both internal and external.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive and integrated marketing communication campaigns across all channels, including events/shows/conferences, digital, media relations and social media in alignment with ASAP Kerala’s objectives.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling, targeted content, and identify channels and platforms, that effectively communicate our value propositions to target audience.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing activities covering paid media promotion, marketing automation, SEO/SEM, website enhancement, and lead management
  • Brand Management: Oversee the management of the ASAP Kerala brand across all platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with the overall strategic objectives.
  • Campaign Management: Design and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns that effectively promote ASAP Kerala’s courses and initiatives, tracking campaign performance and ROI.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government bodies, and educational partners, to enhance the organisation’s reach and reputation.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the marketing communications team, fostering a creative and productive environment.
  • Budget Management: Plan and manage the budget, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs including PR, advertising, digital marketing, trade events and campaigns
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilise analytics tools to track marketing performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.
  • Crisis Management: Handle communications crises and manage sensitive information, ensuring the organisation maintains a positive public image.
  • Vendor and Agency Oversight: Coordinate with external agencies and consultants to ensure that all marketing materials meet ASAP Kerala’s standards and strategic goals.

Educational Qualification:

Full-time Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputed university or institute, with marketing communications as a subject of study.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience in marketing communications, preferably within the education, NGO, or government sector.
  • Proven track record in developing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong leadership skills with at least 5 years of experience managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively articulating ideas and engaging various audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management.
  • Experience in managing budgets and marketing projects from conception to completion.

Job Description:

The Communications Specialist will lead both strategic and operational aspects of ASAP Kerala’s internal and external communications. This dynamic role requires effective management and synchronisation of communications efforts across various divisions, ensuring alignment with the broader marketing and organisational goals. This position supervises the Programme Manager (Documentation) and works closely with the Public Relation team to streamline external communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with ASAP Kerala’s objectives and enhance its public image.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content across all communication channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate closely with various verticals within ASAP Kerala to identify and develop compelling stories and best practices. Formulate and execute a comprehensive dissemination plan to ensure optimal reach and engagement with all produced content.
  • Collaborate closely with the PR Team to ensure that press releases and media interactions are handled effectively, aligning with broader communication strategies.
  • Oversee the strategic development and day-to-day management of ASAP Kerala’s website, ensuring it accurately reflects the organisation's brand and mission.
  • Curate and maintain a comprehensive photo repository, engaging professional photographers to capture high-quality images that support and enrich our visual narratives. Oversee the strategic deployment of these visuals across all communication platforms to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Enhance internal communication processes to ensure clear, timely, and effective dissemination of information within the organisation.
  • Strategise, initiate and maintain partnerships with potential organisations
  • Manage communications with various stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and the private sector, to support strategic partnerships and initiatives.
  • Lead the response to communications crises, ensuring that ASAP Kerala maintains its reputation and addresses public concerns swiftly and effectively.
  • Supervise the Programme Manager (Documentation) and ensure the quality of editorial content and designs of internal products, such as reports, brochures, and digital content.
  • Guide and mentor the communications team. Collaborate with the marketing, public relations, and digital media teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
  • Oversee and coordinate the engagement of creative agencies, consultants, and vendors to ensure seamless implementation of communication strategies. Responsible for monitoring their performance, ensuring deliverables align with ASAP Kerala’s objectives, and maintaining budget and schedule compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and initiatives, using key performance indicators to make data-driven adjustments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Qualification:

Full-time Master’s degree in Communications, Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, obtained from a reputed university or institute.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Candidates with 7-9 years’ experience in communications preferably within the education, NGO, or government sector.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in development and implementation of communication strategy preferably in the social development/skill enhancement is required.
  • Experience working in Govt ecosystem will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant experience in content creation, across legacy and digital channels – experience of audio-visual content, social media strategies and content, writing and editing, are preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in leading and mentoring a team for at least 4-5 years
  • Relevant experience in Media relations and dealing with public relation agencies preferred.
  • Capable of conceptualising and executing strategic communication plans that align with organisational goals.
  • Experience in building relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Track record of positively representing the organisation and its mission at external platforms
  • Exceptional Verbal and Written Communication. Ability to craft clear, persuasive, and concise communications.

3) Digital Content Writer

Job Description:

The Digital Content Writer is a key team member within the marketing communications department tasked with producing high-quality, engaging content for digital platforms, including the organization’s website. Reporting to the Communications Specialist, this role requires exceptional writing skills, the ability to manage content schedules, and the capacity to stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure all content is relevant and timely.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write high-quality content that engages target audiences and enhances online presence. Content types include articles, blog posts, and multimedia content for digital dissemination.  Oversee the content lifecycle from creation to publication; ensure content is accurate, timely, and optimized for search engines.
  • Regularly update the website content to reflect the latest insights, news, and company developments.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor web traffic, user engagement, and the effectiveness of content, making data-driven decisions to improve content strategies.
  • Optimize content for SEO to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to optimize content for search engines and drive organic traffic.
  • Edit and proofread digital content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with marketing and marketing communications teams to align content with broader strategic goals, content strategy and campaign themes.
  • Monitor website content regularly and make necessary updates and improvements.

Educational Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional writing experience, preferably in a similar role within the education, NGO, or government sectors.
