Course Overview
As part of the curriculum, students learn how to provide basic nursing care and manage patients at hospitals, clinics, and old age homes. The responsibilities of a nursing assistant are to ensure that those under their care receive timely medication, assistance in daily routines and tasks, and a suitable environment for recovery.
Program Outcome:
Prepare individuals for entry-level roles in healthcare settings, primarily in assisting registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) in providing direct patient care and support services to individuals across their lifespan, including the elderly, chronically ill, disabled populations and maternity care.
