PADI open water scuba instructors and PADI assistant instructors are the most in-demand dive professionals worldwide. After putting in the time and effort necessary to earn a PADI Instructor rating, you're rewarded with a job that allows you to share amazing underwater adventures with others, improving their lives while also enhancing your own. The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is made up of two parts - the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) programmes. Most scuba divers finish the entire IDC and then attend an Instructor Examination (IE), which is the last requirement to become certified as a PADI Instructor.

Who is this course for?
The PADI Instructor Development Course is open to PADI Divemasters who have been certified divers for six months. They should also have completed 100 dives that were recorded. In the last 24 months, one should have finished Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training. A medical certificate duly signed by a doctor should also be submitted.
