Unreal for Lighting Artists
Course Overview
This 12 weeks upskilling course is targeted towards learners with a basic knowledge of any 3D animation software like Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, Unity, Unreal. This course will expose learners to the most exciting and challenging aspects of lighting in Unreal Engine. The course begins with a two week module that will give learners an opportunity to experience the real world of lighting by going through theory and hands on studio practice with different lighting scenarios. Learners will then be introduced to Unreal Engine, familiarizing them with its interface and learning about its lighting pipeline and tools. Learners would be guided across different modules that would make them proficient with different aspects of the software in the realm of lighting design. The course would conclude with a project where learners would take their focussed learning from the individual units and synthesise and apply them into a cinematic form that would build an added dimension to their storytelling skills through lighting.
