The Yoga Wellness Trainer course offered by ASAP Kerala in collaboration with the Healthcare Sector Skill Council is designed to help learners build a strong foundation in yoga for health and well-being. This NSQF Level 4 programme introduces the basics of yoga, including asanas, pranayama, meditation, and simple lifestyle practices. It also provides an understanding of how yoga supports physical and mental health, along with basic knowledge of the human body.

The Yoga Wellness Trainer course is a skill-based programme that trains individuals to promote health and well-being through yoga practices such as asanas, pranayama, and meditation. It focuses on both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
The total duration of the Yoga Wellness Trainer course is 450 hours as per the Qualification Pack HSS/Q4003. This includes 120 hours of theory, 210 hours of practical training, 60 hours of employability skills, and 60 hours of mandatory on-the-job training (OJT).
Anyone with an interest in yoga and wellness can apply. As per NSQF Level 4 guidelines, candidates who have completed higher secondary education (Plus Two or equivalent) are eligible to apply.
You will learn to conduct yoga sessions, demonstrate asanas, guide meditation and breathing techniques, and design basic wellness programmes for different groups.
Yes. Upon successful completion of the training and assessment, candidates will receive a certificate from the Healthcare Sector Skill Council, which is recognised under the National Skill Development Corporation framework.
The course is typically delivered in offline mode, combining classroom training with practical sessions. Some theory components may also be offered online depending on the training centre.
Training is conducted at selected ASAP Kerala community skill parks, partner institutions, and approved training centres across the state.
