Dr R Bindu inaugurates CSP Kunnamkulam, calls it one-stop solution for skill requirements
Dr R Bindu, Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, inaugurated the ASAP Community Skill Park (CSP) in Kunnamkulam, Thrissur, on January 21, 2023, at an event presided over by Shri A C Moitheen, Kunnamkulam MLA and Former Minister.
Inaugurating the CSP, the hon’ble minister commended the efforts of ASAP Kerala in enhancing the employability skills of the state’s youth, thereby providing a solution to educated unemployment. “The 16 Community Skill Parks established across the state will serve as a one-stop solution for the youth’s skill requirements based on their aspirations,” she added.
Eram Technologies, a software publishing and consultancy firm, has been designated as the operating partner of the Kunnamkulam CSP. Employment-linked training programmes like Certified Nursing Assistant, and Advanced Diploma in Logistics Management have been proposed to be launched at the CSP in the first phase of its operations. Later, programmes in electric vehicle technology, hospitality management, etc. will be introduced. The Work Readiness Programme, Medical Coding and Billing, and other ASAP Kerala training programmes will also be launched. Furthermore, various training programmes in collaboration with the region’s local self-governing bodies are planned to be introduced at the CSP.
The CSP’s operations are planned in a manner that it will serve as the focal point for all employability enhancement activities in the district.
Ms Sita Raveendran, Chairperson, Kunnamkulam Municipality; Mr Anwar Hussain, Head (Finance) ASAP Kerala; Lt Cdr Sajith Kumar EV, Head (CSP Division) ASAP Kerala; Dr Sideek Ahammed, Chairperson, Eram group; Dr Paulose Theppala, Director, Eram group; and the representatives from the local self governing bodies in the region attended the inaugural session.
