Dual recognition for ASAP Kerala

ASAP Kerala becomes NCVET Awarding and Assessment agency

ASAP Kerala has become the first agency in the state to be accorded dual recognition — awarding body and assessment agency — at the national level. The accreditation was awarded by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. It is the regulatory body that ensures quality in technical and vocational education and training.

Dr Usha Titus, Chairperson and Managing Director, ASAP Kerala, and Dr Nirmal Jeet Singh Khalsi, Chairperson, NCVET, executed the documents.

ASAP Kerala has been tasked with creating a comprehensive skilling ecosystem in Kerala as part of upgrading all vocational courses in the country to NSQF standards. The recognition will pave the way for ensuring excellence and coordination of vocational training centres in Kerala.
