IDEA FEST 2024 – World Youth Skills Day
IDEA FEST 2024 was organised on the 15th of July, 2024 across ASAP Kerala’s 16 Community Skill Parks (CSPs) to engage college students from across Kerala in generating innovative ideas through a structured and competitive platform.
Participants, who were college students, registered through the ASAP Connect portal and selected their nearest Community Skill Park (CSP) for the offline event. The theme of the event was ‘Building a Better World: Social Impact Innovations’, and aimed to promote creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving among youth, culminating in a state-level competition conducted virtually.
The first round was conducted at the CSP level in the forenoon, and the final round was a virtual competition among winners from each CSP in the afternoon. Over a 100 teams registered for IDEA FEST 2024 across Kerala.
The winners of the fest are as follows:
1st Prize: Team Harmony Tech, LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragod
2nd Prize: Team Tycoon, Royal College of Engineering and Technology, Thrissur
3rd Prize: Team We Think, LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Thiruvananthapuram
IDEA FEST 2024 was designed to harness the creativity, innovation and collaborative spirit of college students across Kerala. The event highlighted the role of local skill development centres in nurturing youth innovation.
