Notification For The Post of Aspirational Block Fellows

On behalf of Programme Implementation, Evaluation and Monitoring Department (PIEMD), Govt. Of Kerala, ASAP Kerala is pleased to announce the opportunities for the position of Aspirational Block Fellows with a monthly remuneration of  ₹ 55000/- (inclusive of all taxes and deductions).

1. Number : A total of 9 vacancies are available across various districts including Idukki, Kasaragod, Wayanad and Palakkad.

2. Job Description:

Aspirational Block Fellows are part of the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) of Government of India. This program aims to improve governance in less-developed blocks in the country and is supported by the NITI Aayog. Fellows assist in implementing and monitoring activities under the ABP, connecting block-level officials with NITI Aayog, and  assisting in implementation, monitoring, and improving stakeholder engagement.

3. Qualification and Skills Required:

i) Essential:

a) Postgraduate degree in any discipline from any reputed institutions

b) Ability to fluently speak, read and write Malayalam and English

ii) Desirable:

  • Skills in data analysis and presentation.
  • Familiarity with social media tools and  project management abilities.
  • Prior experience/internship with a development organization.
  • Strong communication skills and self-driven attitude.
  • Proficiency in other local languages in Kerala.

4. Age limit : 22- 35 years

5. Duration of engagement:

The duration of the engagement is 1 year.

8. A non-refundable application fee of ₹500/- is to be paid at the time of application.

9. Eligible candidates will be informed of the screening process after 22/6/25, which may include written test and interview.

10. Selection is conditional on the candidates enrolling for ASAP Kerala’s Public Administration and Public Finance online  course, curated specifically for enhancing the outcome of performance of AB Fellows with a course fee of ₹10,000/-. The course must be completed after joining duty within 60 days.

11. It is emphasised that this is a contractual position and does not guarantee permanent employment in Government or at the Block.

12. Please also note that ASAP Kerala is responsible only for selection and training of the AB Fellows, and disbursement of the salary based on the report of satisfactory performance and release of funds from PIEMD.
