Selection Process

The selection process tentatively involves two stages:

1. Written Test – If required
2. Interview – For final selection

Selected applicants will be posted at the locations mentioned below, based on their suitability. Selected candidates will also be required to execute an agreement with ASAP.

About ASAP Kerala & CSPs:

ASAP Kerala is a Section 8 company under the Higher Education Department of the Government of Kerala, offering skill training on 150+ courses both offline and online. The offline training activities are conducted through 16 Community Skill Parks (CSPs) across the state. This notification is for the recruitment of Executives with the job roles specified below.

Executive: Job Role

The Executive will be responsible for acting as the in-charge of the CSP, achieving financial self-sustainability, and supervising the activities of interns and apprentices to meet CSP targets. They will represent ASAP in various district meetings and events and ensure the upkeep and maintenance of CSP infrastructure, including databases and registers. Executives are also required to prepare monthly reports covering revenue, expenditure, income, occupancy, footfall, and other activity metrics, and attend monthly review meetings as assigned.

They will promote ASAP Kerala and CSP activities within the CSP influence zone, organize training and non-training programs, and collaborate with industry partners. Additionally, they will gather and address feedback from CSP participants and conceptualize, mobilize, and manage youth engagement activities such as workshops, competitions, and career guidance seminars to enhance CSP activities.

Terms and Conditions:

• Type of Employment: Contract for a maximum of 2 years, with quarterly performance reviews.
• Eligibility: Graduation with 3 years of work experience, OR Post-graduation with 2 years of experience/1 year in ASAP Kerala, OR MBA Graduates with 1 year of experience.
• Age Limit: Maximum 40 years.
• Salary: Fixed monthly salary of ₹25,350/- (inclusive of all allowances). Performance-based incentives may apply.

Brief About CSPs

CSP SBU represents the youth engagement business unit of ASAP Kerala. Each CSP has a 25,000 30,000 sq ft building infrastructure with 5 classrooms and 4 lab spaces aimed at employability enhancement and career advancement activities. The CSP SBU focuses on individuals aged 13 to 40 years and aims to create a skilled community. CSP facilitates placement assistance to Candidates and hosts placement drives on a recurring basis. CSP activities are planned for all 7 days of the week, with compensatory off for working on holidays.

The role of Junior Executive will be a mix of Graduate Intern and Executive responsibilities, functionally above Graduate Interns and under Executives. They will act as the Center Head of CSPs where Executives are not posted.

Communications Specialist

Job Description:

The Communications Specialist will lead both strategic and operational aspects of ASAP Kerala’s internal and external communications. This dynamic role requires effective management and synchronisation of communications efforts across various divisions, ensuring alignment with the broader marketing and organisational goals. This position supervises the Programme Manager (Documentation) and works closely with the Public Relation team to streamline external communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with ASAP Kerala’s objectives and enhance its public image.
• Oversee the creation of high-quality content across all communication channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic goals.
• Collaborate closely with various verticals within ASAP Kerala to identify and develop compelling stories and best practices. Formulate and execute a comprehensive dissemination plan to ensure optimal reach and engagement with all produced content.
• Collaborate closely with the PR Team to ensure that press releases and media interactions are handled effectively, aligning with broader communication strategies.
• Oversee the strategic development and day-to-day management of ASAP Kerala’s website, ensuring it accurately reflects the organisation’s brand and mission.
• Curate and maintain a comprehensive photo repository, engaging professional photographers to capture high-quality images that support and enrich our visual narratives. • Strategise, initiate and maintain partnerships with potential organisations
• Manage communications with various stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and the private sector, to support strategic partnerships and initiatives.
• Lead the response to communications crises, ensuring that ASAP Kerala maintains its reputation and addresses public concerns swiftly and effectively.
• Supervise the Programme Manager (Documentation) and ensure the quality of editorial content and designs of internal products, such as reports, brochures, and digital content.
• Guide and mentor the communications team. Collaborate with the marketing, public relations, and digital media teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
• Oversee and coordinate the engagement of creative agencies, consultants, and vendors to ensure seamless implementation of communication strategies. Responsible for monitoring their performance, ensuring deliverables align with ASAP Kerala’s objectives, and maintaining budget and schedule compliance.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and initiatives, using key performance indicators to make data-driven adjustments.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Qualification:

Full-time Master’s degree in Communications, Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, obtained from a reputed university or institute.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Candidates with 7-9 years’ experience in communications preferably within the education, NGO, or government sector.
• 3-4 years’ experience in development and implementation of communication strategy preferably in the social development/skill enhancement is required.
• Experience working in Govt ecosystem will be an added advantage.
• Relevant experience in content creation, across legacy and digital channels – experience of audio-visual content, social media strategies and content, writing and editing, are preferred.
• Demonstrated skill and experience in leading and mentoring a team for at least 4-5 years
• Relevant experience in Media relations and dealing with public relation agencies preferred.
• Capable of conceptualising and executing strategic communication plans that align with organisational goals.
• Exceptional Verbal and Written Communication including Malayalam. Ability to craft clear, persuasive, and concise communications.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of communication professionals.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse data, trends, and public opinion to inform communication strategies.
• Able to adapt strategies in real-time based on feedback and evolving organisational needs.
• Fluency in Malayalam and English is required.  Knowledge in Hindi will be an added advantage.
• Possess exceptional computer knowledge and extensive experience within a designing ecosystem. Provide expert guidance to designers and the web development team, ensuring the effective use of technology in creating and maintaining digital assets.

Post: Consultant – Training

Academic Qualification: Graduate degree or a four year Professional degree.

The Marketing Communications Manager at ASAP Kerala will supervise a dynamic team structured to handle various aspects of communication, both internal and external.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive and integrated marketing communication campaigns across all channels, including events/shows/conferences, digital, media relations and social media in alignment with ASAP Kerala’s objectives.
